Reading | You are expected to read the parts of the book that are assigned before class. | ||||||||||
Homework | There will be written homework assigned, as well as WebAssign problems, after each class period. Note that although written homework will not be collected, they are necessary to be successful in the course, since they require more in-depth solutions than WebAssign problems. | ||||||||||
You are highly encouraged to come to office hours with questions, and to utilize study groups in this course. However, if you work on homework with classmates, you must write up your solutions independently, and list your collaborator(s) on the first page. | |||||||||||
Quizzes | There will be frequent quizzes based on material from reading assignments, lecture, and homework. Some of our quizzes will be short, and test your comprehension of new concepts. There will be no make-up quizzes. However, your three lowest quiz scores will be dropped. | ||||||||||
Exams | The midterm dates are tentative. There will be no make-up exams.

Letter-grade scales will be available after each exam.
